Hi Jan & Malc

It's nice to know you moved over there permanently and love it. Eventually we want to live more over there then in the UK. We don't know if we could commit fully at the moment. Time will tell. We are in our 50's too and we have four daughters all which have their own families and are using the apartment in the holidays, so its hard for us to get one in during the summer. Lucky we have booked for this summer and we are out there in may. I would love to know how to get reasonably priced internet over there for the times we are there as we are not over there a lot at the moment.

Regards

Dawn & Wayne

Hi

As far as I know regarding internet access you will have to have a contract - we pay 18 euros a month and are on a contract.  I don't know of any companies who do short term month by month contracts but someone reading this might.  Our contract is with Telecable and we have had no problems with them.

The weather is warming up nicely in fact we are having a bbq on Saturday.  It should be lovely and warm by the time you get over here in May!

best wishes

Jan

Hi there,

My young son and I are from Belfast and are hopefully moving to live in Playa Flamenca around end of August beginning of Sept.  I have been over several times trying to sort out our living details etc.

I`m in my late 40`s and we do not know anyone or have any family there.  It would be great to chat to people and get to know some before we move.

It seems to be a very friendly place as any time we have been there everyone seemed to be very helpful and pleasant.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Gill.

Hi dawn-Wayne.

We pick the keys up to our new pad in la zenia on 24th August.

Re Internet, our lawyer showed us a place in la zenia that is a pay as you go Internet, apparently you pay for the initial setting up, then give them a weeks notice and pre order say a weeks Internet at approx €3 per day. I think that's what we will do, then we're not paying for Internet we don't use and it's ideal for guests.

Hi. A Paddy here, can't let the Scots take over lol.  My wife and I have just retired and looking to rent in Villamartin.  I think we are too old to buy now.  Going out on 1st Sept for 3 months looking forward to it.  Patrick

Hi Steve & Cheryl

Yes we went to la zenia shopping mall and got the Internet. Initial cost was €100 and its pay as you go. The price is pretty good. Haven't had it long, but so far so good. I agree, it works well for any guests, so they can take it or leave it. Thanks for your reply.
