Well thanks for that! My friend did use the Taxi service at the airport, and they are also chancers, drove him all around the country side, got lost, and finally arrived 1& half later, then tried to charge him 69 euros, never went near 332 motorway, any answers to that!! And it's not the first time, it was frightening.

Well Ray in an ideal world, and this is not. Taxi Drivers, especially at the airport are a bunch of chancers and try to get as much money out of you as possible, you obviously have not had the pleasure!

On the way out  here, my friend was driven all over the country side, lost and 1.1/2 hours later got here very frightened, never went near 332? And tried to charge 69 euros for the pleasure, was a registered Taxi driver.

I would not use another at the airport if my life depended on it.

They are rubbish

Oh I see, many thanks, any thing could be more reliable and honest than the Airport Taxis, they are all thieves!!

Hi Jean,Beniconnect are a company.Depending on what you want. They offer a private taxi service or if you are like me and single then it's a God send.It costs me €20 to and from Alicante airport for a shared service from Villamartin. You book  and pay it all online,so you are not ripped off.

Hi Julie,

Sounds perfect, and paying online a definite bonus, some people don't know about Airport Taxis, and how they rip people off, I would never use one again & have warned all my friends and family.

Many thanks

Jean

I don’t think all airport taxis should be tarred with the same brush Jean, I know of many people who use them regularly without any issues? If you ask for a confirmed price for your journey before getting in, you will not get charged any higher, all destinations have a set price, so you shouldnt be taken on an extended trip to your destination as the driver will be wasting their own fuel and time in doing so. Always advisable to ask for the drivers i.d and take a note of their number, that way they are not likely to try and fleece anybody.

They are great to use but if you are the only ones booked at the time of a pick up they will charge a flat 50€ fee.
