Hey Michael

Come, enjoy the sunshine. It’s such a lift to the spirits. Well worth it. 😄😄🤪🥂

Wall to wall grey rain here in Harrogate for days on end, with the odd break.  I’m on my way UNLESS these idiots in government decide to shut down the country again for no logical reason

Only to cheer you up, not to glee. Just been down to the “front” for a sundowner. First time out due to the car battery being knackered. Oh, what a joy! Quiet, but no less enjoyable. 🤪🥂

Hey El

Car’s fixed, water everywhere and the part for the combi’s coming tomorrow!! And the sun’s still shining 😄😄🤪🥂

Ha!  you've been here 3 days, had a bank holiday, got all the repairs resolved and  already life in Moraira is returning to normal .... All sounding good Ange, now you can  enjoy the continuing sunshine.

I would agree with you that this was a great idea, except for one problem.

For the first time in over thirty years of continuous car ownership I am without wheels!  I decided that keeping a 4 x 4 out on the road for days on end was no longer cost effective.  Plus my old BMW X3 was a very deep black hole that I used to pour money down.  Great car and nine years of enjoyable driving but FAR too expensive.  We decided to see how we go without and, so far, it's not a problem.  I joined the car club Co-Wheels as well and there is always a car parked a hundred yards away from my door.  I booked it for a trip up to the Lakes recently and enjoyed the hybrid sensation for the first time.  I'd love to buy one (Toyota Yaris) but the cost can't be justified right now.

So I'm stuck with my senior bus pass (easy trip to LBA from here), flights, airport transfer bus and then a taxi from Torrevieja to home.  It's a solo trip as my other half is still working and I do feel guilty sending her pictures of the sunset from our roof terrace!  But hey, what can you do??

I've had a number of trips since we bought the house and most have been enjoyable.  Unfortunately mozzies love me so I suffer with them, and there is the recent problem with cockroaches.  Eliminate those two irritations and job's a good un!

I'm certainly looking forward to strolls along the prom at Tv and, of course, on the long wooden pier going out to sea.  Always do that one at least once.

We were due to fly EMA to ALC on 31st Oct with RA, cancelled, no real explanation just the usual options of vouchers or refunds.

Hope you have more luck Michael.

Hi Michael

I flew to Alicante on Saturday, from EMA, with Ryanair. My husband is not a lover of the airline, however, I have never had a problem with them. They do what it says in the tin; cheap, and I’ve never ever been delayed or late

The flight was fine, everyone wore their masks and complied with requirements.

Personally, having just listened to the latest from the U.K. government, I’m just so glad we’re here! That’s even though the car battery is flat so until tomorrow we’re stuck, the combi’s not working and we’ve no water to half the house! But, the sun is shining!!! 🤪🥂

Why is it that there are always problems........I seem to just get sorted then something else breaks.

Always something to do in Spain........must be due to lack of use!
