We paid 64000 pounds or 77500 euros for our house,it has 3/4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and communal pool....fantastic value we think......its a 10 min walk to what's called "the grey area" where there's loads of bars and restaurants......we just love it!!

Hi Roy555

I don't drive so that may cause problems getting around...is there a good bus service? I'll be living out there full time or part renting but i'll need a good vibrant community for work and play:) Can you tell me abit more please? I'll be over to La Marina next week...

Hi Phil,

Well I'll be in La Marina next week with my son Paul to view some properties so quite anxious/excited about it all!Let me know if you guys are about... Can I ask did you get an independent engineer for yours? Can you recommend anyone, or did you put your faith in Watsons? I'm a bit dubious about agents with their own! I'm looking at properties with pools as I might be renting out here n there...it'll be an investment too!

Hiya,I spotted ours on zoopla and Watson's were the agents,we came out last October to view ours and another cpl of properties but fell in love with this, and didn't even view the others.....we had all the checks done through a Spanish solicitor,Watson's set everything up.....Watson's and Barclay's in LA marina are basically the same company but there are loads of company's to choose from.I can only give you our experiences, you have to make your own mind up what's right for you.....we are here now,sat outside with a coffee and fag and the suns coming out,we are here till Monday then back to UK for a cpl of weeks and over again at easter.....we just love the place, the people, the quietness and obviously the sun.....hope you have a great trip out,let me know how it goes...Phil x

Hi, think if I were you I would try La Zenia or Cabo Roig, especially as you don't drive. You are near beaches, near the brilliant and huge la zenia boulevard with loads of great shops and bars ( google la zenia boulevard) . Plus there are coach trips up and down the N332. This area is served by Murcia airport and Alicante. I find Murcia easier to access and cheap taxi fares....hope you find what you are looking for! If you need any other info keep in touch 😀

Hey Thanks Trudi9, I have looked in La Zenia first but there was very few properties there that were suitable at the time. Cabo Roig on the other hand did,but its too quite for what I need(business and pleasure:) and bus'es! You're very good for replying thanks so much for taking the time!
