For anyone looking to make friends and get involved in activities like cinema, bowls, outings etc. Go to Phoenix Solos group on a Monday morning at The Marina International in Torrevieja.

I did post a link but it's not accepted. Have a look online for the website

People live in all areas and you'd probably find something of interest

Bonjour Colin...Yes, I know exactly your situation! I am alone 24/7, rarely receive visitors  and I am a 'fun-loving' sort of fella. Because I don't 'drink', and very rarely go into 'pubs', ( I don't believe that you can meet the 'one' in a 'pub'🤔), I have created my own 'islolated' situation, and It's NOT good!

I am NOT seeking out a 'bed-partner', just a nice 'female' companion, who I can relax with, watch movies from my incredible DVD/ music library and generally share 'special' moment's.

Yes, I have tried 'dating sites', TOTAL waste of time, ( all THEY do, is SELL your details to third party organisations, who in turn, send disgusting spam emails constantly!). I went on one particular 'date', and when we met, I thought that she had sent her MOTHER! She looked NOTHING like her profile picture 😅! What a total 'con'!

At this time Colin, I don't know of a solution for this, just keep your eyes open around places such as Mercadona etc, you may never know who you may bump into...It COULD happen for you...Best of luck in your quest...Bryan S.

Hello Colin.   Did you find someone to talk to?  I could meet for a coffee and chat. Difficult to find anyone to be friendly here.

Bonjour Bella...Yes, I agree with your comment! If you are not part of a 'circle', then it is very difficult to 'infiltrate' an established group of 'friends', you are ALWAYS an 'outsider'!

I have lived in MANY places here in España, and one MUST be most careful, I have experienced MANY 'back-stabbers'/'bar room lawyers', and the like, criticising others, to their absolute delight! Tread carefully Bella and thank you for your time...B.

Hello Bryan995,

Have you tried a walking group, cycling group, social group going into cafes for a coffee or volunteering once a week in a charity shop, these are all good ways to meet people and make friends. Me and my husband are a quiet couple but have made lovely friends from going on walks and Iv made a few friends working in charity shop.

Good luck
