Yes, you've got to prove you're a legal resident. If you haven't yet got residency, at least get your prior application in before the end of this month. You can do the actual license application any time in the nine months after that.

Have a French European driving licence, with no limit to age, I am 72 and British
I think I should have a medical for Spanish licence, but then what route on the web site, there is a choice of change French to Spanish? Before pressing button would like to be sure correct.

You can only get information documents in languages other than Spanish.

Hi Jim, great advice as usual, what do you mean by electronic certificate? we now have our residencia so looking to get the application in to exchange my UK driving licence
