UK mobile phone - Page 4

All I am trying to tell folks, that wether you live in Spain or uk, if you have a uk phone with a provider like Vodafone or one of the other big boys, you now can get all your minutes text and data allowance to use if your in anywhere in Europe .

That’s been like that for over a year on government  ruling.

If you don’t believe that just phone your provider and they will tell you.

I also have bank accounts in Spain since 1999, and all the banks I deal with, have no problem phoning me on my uk Vodafone number,and why should they.

If your having trouble with your bank,refusing to phone you because it’s a uk number,then you must be in some back st bank, and how dare they demand you have a Spanish number ,stick up for your rights,and don’t be fobbed off with their demands,remember your the customer,and they are there to serve.

Yes Dave but they are a SPANISH bank so why should they bow down to your demands? 

I repeat Dave. I can't get Barclays Mobile Banking app on my Spanish phone so i have to have an English phone for that but "some" businesses won't consider a UK number so i have to have a Spanish number. As I mentioned before if you are on PAYG it costs very little to keep both phones so not an issue really 😟 ?

Sorry but I just don’t see why you should want the bank to phone you, as all correspondence I’ve had with banking in Spain was done face to face, as I’m not that good with Spanish, and you can’t sign or do anything over the phone, seems very odd to me.

That is all finished now,you can call and receive calls on your uk phone anywhere in Europe using your uk minutes and tex + data

You can only use you data abroad for 3 months without returning to the uk then they stop you and just allow minutes.

You can easily buy a dual SIM phone and cut out having the two; just search on eBay as they are not so popular in the UK for some reason! You can also buy an App for your phone that gives you the use of another number for a specific country i.e. a Spanish mobile number.
