Hello

We are looking to transfer our UK driving licence to the Spanish one. We did not register before December 2020 as we were told we could not apply as we did not have Residencia. We now have our Residencia.....could anybody give us information on how we go about obtaining Spanish licence?

Many thanks

Urmi

From the .gov website:

You will need to take a Spanish driving test.

Unfortunately, tebo53 correct. There is no way around it. The good news is that there is the option of sitting the theory in English.

I would not be surprised to see the requirement to take a test scrapped in the near future. I understand, from something a I read recently and cannot now find, that ngotiations are under way regarding this.

The French have agreed to except a swap let’s hope the spainish will follow as well. They should because they are all part of the EU.
