Sabadell bank

There are many posters on this forum who have moved all their financial services to their Wise accounts and closed the Spanish bank account. I've not done it personally but it seems easy to arrange.

Hi, we are doing the same, i mailed Sabadell last week and got the following reply back.

Dear Mr. xxxxxx ,

With reference to your email, we inform you that to cancel an account it have to be at 0€. As well, all the products related to it (insurances, loans, etc.) have to cancelled too. Then you can call us at 963 085 000 or, if you prefer, go to your reference branch.

However, if you are not going to visit Spain soon, you can always choose a legal representative (with a power of attorney) who can act it in your behalf.

And remember we're also available 24/7 by phone on 963 085 000, via email at [email protected] and on social networks (Twitter and Facebook).

I closed my a/c, just wrote a curt letter informing them with all the details , after  setting up all my d/debits with Wise & walked!! John.If you want you must go to all the Utilities  & set up all D/Ds again.

Hola, did you do your direct debits online & was it easy?😀thinking about changing to Wise but concerned about changing the direct debits over.

Hi I have a Sabadell account as a non- resident and get clobbered with charges, so I have set up a wise a/c last year with €25 in it , that is as far as I got so would anyone be willing to privately guide me through the process

Avoid Sabadell if at all possible - they have got to be the most expensive bank in Spain.

I endorse Wise acc,nt - or KBC in Ireland for another euro account. My Sabadell statement is one long list of charges in one form or another.

I would like to set up an account with Wise but I'm concerned about changing over the D/D's, I know what a pain it can be!!
