Hi V2,
In the UK, I think it was because of the Government's slogan, "Catch it, Kill it, Bin it", about coughing or sneezing into a tissue - but toilet roll is cheaper and can be flushed down the loo 🤗

Totally agree with you. Toilet paper has been used as tissues for years. I thought the same as you. However, if we are to be kept indoors for 3 months or more, we will need our stock pile of toilet paper. As we aren’t venturing out and self isolating, we won’t need to use it as a tissue! Thankfully.

People learn something new every day...…...just today my wife learned that a car wont climb a telephone pole!
I learned Japanese with tapes that play while you sleep. It works. Now I speak perfect Japanese, but only when I'm asleep!
