Someone asked what would be the cost of the vaccination. The answer is nothing, it’s free to anyone who gets it.

To all you people wittering about when and where you are to be vaccinated. You will be called forward when it’s your turn so stop wittering on, stop worrying, stay safe, wash your hands, social distance and keep your phone charged and handy

Yes, we are intelligent enough to know how to stay safe, it is unusual though, that staff know nothing. If they were to say that it’s arriving soon, that would be better. I have never been a winger but like to know where people stand, especially in these dreadful circumstances!

Like you, I would also feel a bit more reassured if the staff could at least give an indication as to roughly when the vaccinations are likely to be available here on La Marina. My partner has COPD, is diabetic (as am I) and so it is very important that he is protected. The lack of awareness of people within proximity of you when in supermarkets is a it concerning. You never know if any of them are infected, do you? People, in general, need to be much more alert and aware of their surroundings. That would help in the current climate.

I quite agree and I tend to get a bit irritated when others just barge round seemingly unaware of other, especially the elderlys’, vulnerability. I try very hard to keep my hands and even shopping trolley handles sanitised, I even spray my mask, many a time, practically choking myself 😄😄. Take care

No disrespect but it is the availability of the vaccine and when the vaccinations will be done in La marina which affects us here. Howe and when Scotland are doing it is irrelevant to us although I am glad to hear that they are doing it.

Yes, it is about availability. I heard on the news this morning that Britain is being asked to share its supply with Europe. I think the world needs help from each other!

The only contact we have had from our GP Surgery is a text telling not to call asking about vaccination dates, so as not to overwhelm the phone system. Fair enough but they could help by sending out a weekly update text saying where they are with vaccinations or, god forbid, update their Facebook pages which they all have now!

John, most couples is our area (LIncs) of similar age are being done at the same time, I know quite a few now where this has happened. I also know two cases where it has not happened but both were male and both had health issues. Not sure if this is linked to the fact that statistically males are a lot more likely to die from covid than females, or just coincidence.

Rgds,

Aitch.

I think you are right. Any country which grabs the lions share of the vaccine without due regard for any other is just not on. This vaccin is needed all over the world. What happened to Democracy?

I agree. Also if the pharmaceutical companies facilitated the worldwide production of generic versions of vaccines, the entire world would benefit, in particular in less wealthy countries. It would also help reduce the risk of new variants, which are the biggest danger to all of us.
