John could you please update your experience of travelling back to Scotland whilst using Randox tests when you get the chance. Just so I know for future travel, thanks in advance.

Next time we travel I will use Randox. We followed the NI guidelines and paid !88 x 2 fir the dsy 2 tests and did the tests, posted 12 miles away in their priority post box and HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD FROM THEM.   WHAT A WASTE OF OUR GOOD MONEY. ...NO RESULT, nothing. What is it all about? Dou...

...bly vaccinated, antigen test before departing and still expected to waste our money. We could have easily had a test carried out locally for free.
Rant over! .

Wont make you feel any better to know all UK Randox tests are sent and checked in Antrim N.I

Grannyrose, I dont know your opinion on the tests ,I've stated on here in the past ,I'm only paying for the tests because I have to ,not because I'm. needing confirmation of not having covid ,we will have been away from UK for over 11 weeks when we get back ,we could have had 2 tests per week each free ,44 tests at least  free and yet we have to pay to get back to UK ,il let you work out the fairness of that

The Scottish government are only allowing you to use a company called CTM. You can booked through scotgov. Com website. We travelled back last week with no issues. The cost for day 2 test was £88 each. Hope this helps.

The same in Wales, will not accept any other company!

If I'm not mistaken Carol ,Wales is labour ,I know Scotland is SNP ,so they must have got together and decided to fleece the people ,,and I used to be a Labour supporter until Tony Blair

Totally agree England can get companies that give discounts through the airlines but drippy Drakeford follows wee Krankie just to have a pop at the Tories childish behaviour from a senile moron!

Of course I know that and ours were sent to some address in England. We were  obliged to use the NHS as per instructions but never again. Randox  gets my vote!

Has anyone used a day two PCR test once back in Scotland, Im having trouble finding one that will post out

Hi All,

Contrary to my previous post about the 2 day PCR test please find the following:

After contacting ctm by email and getting no response, I called them last week. On being put through to a call centre far, far away, I couldn't make head nor sense of the person on the other end of the phone (this was after trying to purchase the PCR tests Twice).

I then decided to purchase through Ryanair (Randox), which I did successfully for £43. I thereafter just to be on the safe side, decided to email the Scottish government to ask for clarification and got no response. I have since called the Scottish government and have been informed that although they have had many complaints about the said company ctm, they were at this point the only company that can be used...

I have since received reply attached.

I have now successfully at and additional cost of £88 purchased the correct PCR and thanks to our friends at Ryanair lost £43.

Sorry to draw this one out................

Bill

Thanks Billy Wendy 1 for update. Just what I thought although I think the Scottish government is ripping us off. Hopefully things go back to some form of normal soon.
