No, just checked my credit card statement on line, no refund as yet from Ryanair, although I applied on the 19th March!!

Our money returned from jet 2 without asking for it

Hi Gilly Not sure where you stand with that one Has the Flight has not been Cancelled yet.i am still waiting for our refund do not no off anybody who has actually received cash yet.All Ryanair say due to the high volume and of calls it’s taking a20plus days to refund I am sure if people were trying to pay Ryanair millions of pounds to purchase tickets it wouldn’t take 20plus days to take your money but with the millions they have to pay back it’s creating a lot of interest in the bank for Ryanair.

I have just been updated by a email from Ryanair that due to government health restrictions on non essential work travel which means we have less staff available to us during this busy time, please be rest assured your refund request is currently In the Queue and will be processed. There you go, see I only asked for my refund on the 19th March!!!!!

I've had the same email from Ryanair which is the second one. I know it tough that we are all owed money and yes I agree that perhaps things are being stretched out a little.

Would it not be best just to wait rather than getting all stressed out?

One way or another you will get the money back even if you have to eventually go through your credit card company, if anything happened to Ryanair.

Principles set aside for a bit.

I'm just waiting for a barrage of attack now........

Well the original post stated how easy it was to apply for a refund, but a question was asked have you received payment, I feel no one is stressed over Ryanair, but to be fair has anyone received a refund yet, I am sure if you owed anyone any monies they would want a refund ASAP, especially these days when so much is done over the Internet with electronic payments at a push of a button. Stay safe and healthy everyone.

According to the ABTA person on the news this morning the reason the airlines are dragging their feet over refunds is simple, they can't afford to refund everyone who is due a refund immediately as they would go out of business.

It’s a shame the airlines did not announce this as we all want to succeed and overcome this world problem. I personally am in no hurry for my refund, but was only following this post thread. Well I wish the airlines all the best as we need them like they need us. Stay safe and healthy everyone.

Hi

I am in similar position to  a number of you.  I have had 2 emails to say they have had a huge number  of emails and less staff just now so they will get back to me. ....

I have not had any money refunded and think they will try and force me to take credit note or book other flights soon. I am not going for that option due to ongoing uncertainty and the new books I had to book myself to get home rather than be stuck in Spain for several weeks  and it was 10 times more expensive than my original flight.

We need to stand firm on this one!!
