I've had the same email from Ryanair which is the second one. I know it tough that we are all owed money and yes I agree that perhaps things are being stretched out a little.

Would it not be best just to wait rather than getting all stressed out?

One way or another you will get the money back even if you have to eventually go through your credit card company, if anything happened to Ryanair.

Principles set aside for a bit.

I'm just waiting for a barrage of attack now........

Most of us non residents and residents can sit back and not get stressed out over it but a lot of young families have paid a lot of money out to these companies in good faith.why should they have to wait till the O'Leary's and Bransons of this world think it’s ok to pay them.

Well the original post stated how easy it was to apply for a refund, but a question was asked have you received payment, I feel no one is stressed over Ryanair, but to be fair has anyone received a refund yet, I am sure if you owed anyone any monies they would want a refund ASAP, especially these...

... days when so much is done over the Internet with electronic payments at a push of a button. Stay safe and healthy everyone.

Well there are numerous threads on here going on about refunds for flights.

I agree im not getting stressed but very annoyed yes i recall the original post stating how easy the refund post was. I misunderstood what they meant as I thought they had been refunded but later on realised they were in same position as me and had simply applied for a refund and waiting patiently for the money.

After receiving our third email stating what do we want to do reschedule or have a refund wife requested refund for the third time.she has just received another one stating we have a voucher valid for 12 months unless we want a refund.they are a desperate company trying has many stalling tactics they can to keep hold of your money.seen over the years how he treats customers and staff my wife is now coming around to my way of thinking cheap is not best.

Just out of interest any one actually received any money back yet from Ryanair.

The Website has a new section regarding a Covid-19 cancellations. It now specifies that refunds will be by voucher, with a 12 month expiry. It also states that if you want a cash refund, your “ request will go into a cash refund queue, which will be dealt with after the Covid-19 emergency has passed “

Sorry I can’t give you the link - I stumbled on it from a Google search, so I’ve attached a screenshot of the section.

I’m not saying Mr O’Leary isn’t a lowlife, and like many, I’ve vowed not to use Ryanair again, on many occasions .... but here I am, still using them when there’s little alternative - I’m waiting for Vouchers on a total of 10 Covid-cancelled flights for ourselves and friends. If people can just sit it out, and accept their vouchers, hopefully they weather the storm and save countless jobs, as well as continuing to provide us with another service, when some other airlines might have gone under by the end of this.

Wouldn’t give this man anything he wants you to accept the voucher and when you rebook I Guarantee the prices will go through the roof .sorry to say it sad to see Monarch Easy jet go but will not lose any sleep to see O’Leary go under.

Well it seems to be the general consensus is O’Leary is not liked! The same going for Ryanair! But to be honest there is a lot of people who moan and groan about them, but still use their services because they have cheap flights, I have in the past said I will not use them again, but to be honest when you see a flight from Alicante airport to Stansted for £10. Opinions seem to disappear, again to be honest even £50, each way is pretty good. We all seem to think that  if a airline goes bust then there are always others, but I feel other’s will hike up the price as there will not be the competition, so with all that’s going on would it be better to support ALL companies. Prices will rise and all will pay a premium when all return back to normality. Just a thought as I also received a email about the credit note after receiving emails about my refund over the last 5 weeks. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

I dont think Ryanair will be going out of business anytime soon as Michael is boasting about having billions.  It does what it says on the tin.  Ryanair is the only airline that flies from my local airport so I hope they continue for a while.

Not all doom and gloom AVJ O’Leary got kicked up the backside by the Unions now the virus costing him money if it wasn’t for the poor souls who have lost their lives I could celebrate.

I had the email today about the voucher. I havent accepted it because  as far as I am concerned I already chose a refund.

When you click the item to not accept the voucher there isn't anything about the refund but only a questions and answers section.

I don't mind being in a queue for the money at some stage.

Principles comes to mind!
