You have made me laugh!

I am actually back in Northern Ireland where the weather is simply out of this world. We came down to the coast to spend a few days in our old mobile home so I am sitting outside soaking up the last rays while my better half is inside watching the big football match. I admit to having had a large glass of white wine earlier but that cannot be blamed for my earlier spelling shambles.

I believe the temperatures in Spain are climbing....hope you are coping.

We have a splendid beach just over the Sandhills which is looking remarkably like La Mata beach these days...crowds of people in the sea and lying on their deckchairs. Such a change from most of our summers...normally dull and damp!   We also have the Irish Open Golf championship on this week in Ballyliffin,Co.Donegal which is just across the bay from us...we will take the ferry over on Thursday to see all the boys!

Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke, Padraig Harrington and I think Graeme McDowell will be playing ...all the locals who play linx courses so brilliantly.  Really looking forward to seeing them all fighting it out.

So, I am not missing Spain too much but look forward to going back in early September.

I've always booked my car through email-car-hire.com and collected the car from the Record Cars desk - has anyone tried to

book with them recently? The website is still open but doesn't seem to be accepting bookings for 2018?

Many thanks.

Do you spain website has cheap on airport deals for Record at Alicante airport

Check out Record’s own website as they offer priority check in if you book directly with them. We used to do this as it saves hanging around for ages in the queue. Their prices were comparable with Do You Spain.

In my opinion Record are rubbish. Lost my booking after waiting about an hour to check in with their take a ticket system and complaints are ignored. Try Drivalia. The trip advisor recommendations say it all.

Hi Grannyrose, like you I'm not in Spain at the moment, baking in the glorious sunshine on the Isle of Man, periodically spoilt by the need to work.  Back in Spain for Christmas and new year.  Hope you enjoy yourself in September.
