Hope you get it resolved. Would be interested how it goes...and thanks everyone for a most instructive thread. I learnt a lot!

Hi

You don't mention the two biggest consumers of electricity, hot water and heating. The other things you mention are trivial, bar the pool pump, which I can't really comment on.

The January bill included a period of very cold weather!

The bill I received this week was effectively for January. Reading done on 7th February.

My electric contract is with Iberdrola but in the regulated market.  The price is fixed by the government and published everyday at 8.30am.  I am on Plan Noche.  Today I am paying 10 cents peak 6 cents off peak.  This is much lower than Iberdrola Clientes tariffs which are unr...

Quite correct Steve, but ours are low...water heater on timer, couple of showers a day, no heating...log fires and gas bottles at the moment, estufa pellet burner going in to replace the open grate in a few weeks. We turned to a (gas fired) kettle, no need for the electric one and save water too from the washing up bowl. Not big things but keeps the garden happy ;-)

Slimming the footprint.

Cheers,

D

Just got my Iberdrola February bill, 14th January to 10th February, and it is 20 euros cheaper than the one that I had for January!   Very pleased.   I don't have electric heating, just use a mobile gas heater, my hot water boiler is on a timer to only be used on the night tariff rate, I do use an electric kettle but only put in enough water for my mug of tea each time.

Golandrinas comment reminds me of a puzzle with bills from Iberdrola. Does anybody know when they decide to calculate the bill? Sometimes it's for less than a month, sometimes for more. When I login to the Iberdrola Clientes website/app, it gives me an estimate of the next bill, but never tells me on what date the bill will be calculated, or debited!

Yours hopefully

Steve

I find that after a lot of confusion it's best to just call them and speak to a rep. I did yesterday and got a bit more clarification. Still don't get how everyone seems to be on a different tariff/rate/etc etc tho! I will do whatever it takes to not have another bill for 126€ however !

My February bill that I mentioned further up the comments is for just over 60 euros.
