I am just curious but to what are you referring when you say 'torpedo'?   I only know a torpedo to be a weapon of war, usually fired from a submarine.

"Torpedo", 1920s slang for a hit man or "hired gun" "Torpedo", in American cigar slang, a cigar with a pointed tip, also called a pyramid or belicoso. A type of drinking game (see shotgunning) A US beer keg with a capacity of 5.23 US gallons.

Thank you to both.

The landlord rented out to TWO people at same time. The landlord have unpaid water bills of more than 5000 euros so the water can be shut off permanently any time. The landlord has now hired a torpedo that in writing is threatening with the Russian mafia if the tenant does not move out immediatel...

...y. And comes to the door every day for hours. According to you two gentlemen this is because the landlord has an issue with the tenant? Wow.

With all due respect that was not made clear in your OP.

There’s 2 sides to every story, just read the squatter threads.

I sympathise with your predicament, but having the facts to hands allows contributors to offer some sort of help & ‘going off on one’ is in no one’s interest and interjects a train of thought that attitudes possibly contribute to the concerns you’re experiencing.

I wish you well.

First of all, thanks to everyone who has offered their advice and took the time.

Tonite the torpedo came back and tried to enter the property over the fence. The police - both divisions - came and the matter was dealt with very seriously. He managed to escape like two minutes before but now at least the police want us to report all the times he has been around here (have video surveillance). Also, his threats about bringing in the russian mafia in writing earlier, where not considered as "an opinion" by the police but seen as actual threats of torture and violence.

Safe to say the police did not appreciate other threats like the one where the torpedo claims he is friend with both divisions of the police here hence saying they are corrupt and that he does not need an eviction by a court for the landlord, because the police will evict for him if he asks them too. I have heard stories of landlords managing their affairs this way in Malaga and now we have a story like this from here too. His other victims have been too scared to speak up in a forum and I can understand why.

ps anyone not believing this can send me a private message and i will forward his smses. Be aware that ordinary people do operate as torpedos here and one of them is Kenth from Norway. He is very proud of his business evicting tenants without a court order for Scandinavian landlords. Either by threats of the russian mafia or by, according to himself, actually bringing them to the areas around La Marina and Torrevieja to "handle" tenants the russian way.

Hi Sorry to hear this. Some on the local police do speak English

Telephone them and they will call round to see you.

Show them your contract and passport.

Hope you can get this sorted.

If you use a translatermake sure you get a receipt in case it goes to court so you should get your money back. Good Luck

Silly question but you do have a legal rental contract and your landlord is not just renting it out for cash only with no proof of you paying rent.

The Law is on your side but it will be stressing to enforce it starting wiht the language barrier and the cost of legal assisteance. And at the end you will have to look for an alternative. So better try to get out of what you are in. Involving the Police won't be of help at this stage. Sorry to say this but better to face the facts.
