Mas y Mas Denia all shelves full, no increase on people shopping. Plenty loo roll. Aldi Portal de La Marina Mall shelves also full. Somehow I dont think the Spanish have the same mentality. Let's face it Britain is the only country where people buy 21 days worth of food at Christmas because the shops close for 24 hours!

And buy shares in companies who produce antibacterial gel 🙂

I have got to say, I went into a farmicia on Wednesday and asked for antibacterial hand gel and was told No, I was really surprised at their response, it was for my wife who wanted it as she was flying back to the Uk on Thursday, I will try another local farmicia today.

everyone is in a panic about the coronavirus (officially renamed COVID-19 by the World Health Organization), there's an even deadlier virus many people are forgetting about: the flu.

Flu season is hitting its stride right now in the US. So far, the CDC has estimated (based on weekly influenza surveillance data) that at least 12,000 people have died from influenza between Oct. 1, 2019 through Feb. 1, 2020, and the number of deaths may be as high as 30,000.

Get a grip people !!!

Sensible ordinary people are NOT in a panic. However people are right to be concerned about a pandemic that COULD be just in its early stages. We DON'T KNOW how many people will become infected and we don't KNOW how many will die. If millions of people get infected, the 1% death rate will be devastating and consequently lighthearted comparisons with flu are really unhelpful.

If you get it you wont be on here telling everyone not to worry 😎

Talking of "grips"...... I met up with the local (mmmm) Maria  (hairdresser) in the local farmacia. We normally pass a kiss & a chat. Today.......NO. The shop had run out of hair-grips!. I think the hair-dresser´ s (stuff) were hiding under the piles of face-masks & hand-gel!
