OMG
we had exactly the same experience last year around September, we are holiday home owners on the urb but still live in the UK same sob story. I was working on our terrace and he came by talking to my wife and I same bulls**t and me like a Muppet took the geezer to elche where like a previous poster, he asked for money for the locksmith which I said I did not have with me and he went over road to get the locksmith and promptly disappeared leaving me to return feeling like a complete clown he told me he was Swedish but that is most likely crap as well.
A tall skinny bloke a bit dirty looking with a rucksack, my only issue is that it taints one view of people when you get folks like this just mugging you off. our neighbors are Spanish and are a lovely family as are most of the people we have met over the 20 years we have been coming to the urb.
one bad apple and all that but it will make me a little less trusting of folks which is a shame.
