I too paid to increase supply but when I visited the system still tripped out with TV, oven and kettle on 😡😡😡 65euros for nothing!  I suspect we are being charged 'tourist rates' as my expat neighbour  pays only 20 p/ month and I' m being charged 40-50 ....... Going to  check out their competition Fernia- they have a flat rate regardless of wattage and appear to be a lot cheaper

Are you saying it cost you €60 because it tripped?

No I increased the Electricity supply to 5.25 thinking that would sort the problem of the house tripping when more than 2 x electric appliances are on at the same time - but no!  suspect the Cooker has NOT been given it's own fuse? - are there any Sparkies in Toretta Florida who can check this out for me when I return in Oct?

My Cooker appears to trip out my whole system every time I switch it on - especially if the kettle is boiling or the Tv is on - what can be done to alleviate this? - there is nothing marked in my Fuse box so I have no idea whether it has it's own supply or wired into other appliances by the cowboy sparky who installed the system?  Should I get someone to check out the system and rewire the cooker separately?.......anyone available in Oct in the Toretta 11 area?

Sounds like a faulty cooker with too large a fuse, the fault is bypassing the cooker and tripping the main. You deffo need a sparky to check it out

Ibredolla have started taking the bill monthly instead of two monthly, however, our bills seem high (even using 1kw when the place is locked up and electric supply off!)

Is anyone else experiencing this, my bills seem to have gone from around 50€  every two months to around 90€ every two months!...

...

Advice please as I don't fully understand the breakdown ( not understanding Spanish)

Is it time to change?

Thanks

Steve

Hello, yes the same thing has happened to me and my neighbors, I phoned them, and they told me I was on the highest tarrif, and they changed it. I think personally, they have taken the opportunity to change to monthly and put the prices up, hoping we won't notice. Although I was told that the government take a large cut from Iberdrola. You can contact them, there is a dedicated English language line, I googled it, sorry don't have number now, just phone and they will explain.

You need to look on your Electricity bill at what Potencia you are on eg 5.75---4.5---3.5

We have 2bed Apart water heater wash machine 2 A/c unitary (never used yet) we were on 5.75 and have just lowered to 3.5 cost €11 informed to increase back up €60 we are out every 6 weeks for one week bills are €50 will see with new Potencia if any different. Have to say only downside to holiday home electric/water very exspensive would be interested to know if the same all over Spain?somehow I doubt it.

Hi I've just googled Iberdrola customer services and found these telephone numbers for

English speakers:

Phoning from U.K. 0034916496330

Phoning from Spain 900322044

If the Customer service answer in Spanish ask them for an English speaker.

Hope this helps.
