In which withdraw your recommendation as it is misleading....

I found Neil's post very helpful. It was obvious to me that it was just to recommend another company. Pool shop, Los Balcones was quite clear and did not confuse me into thinking it was the same company.

Pool maintenance is a joke, pay all this money for what? My OH and I have often commented at the pool people and work vans parked outside bars and cafes, occupants socialising. If you have a kit to test PH and chlorine levels, look on the internet for advice, buy the relevant chemicals at the supermarket , on sale in most supermarkets at this time of year and treat.  Good Luck.

Everything in Spain is done via a complaints system and when things are not right people are expected to go down this route.

I am renting a large villa in Villamartin.  Some weeks ago the electric gates' mechanism broke and the the gates would not close together properly.  The villa owner was advised to use a Soanish man - Pepe and his son Pepe junior.   He quickly established the cause of the problem being the crumbling supporting walls which had the know on effect of dislodging the gtes and causing one of the electric motors to burn out.     I  watched his painstaking work to dismantle everything,  make  replacement solid support sections for the gates, rehang them to 2 mms apart, replace the electric motors all within 5 days.  My partner is currently emplying him on constructing an outdoor pergola bbuilt on a concrete base with flood water outpoints underneath it. Ingeniously thought out.He does not charge the earth and belives only in leaving any job when the customer is completely satisfied.  A joy to watch at work.

Thank you Wilky, that's a very nice post. Perhaps you can give his contact details, if he is happy with that. Otherwise a personal message would be good. It is great to have a  list of workmen which have been recommended. Now I am a president these contacts are very useful.

Obviously ask a locksmith to change you front door lock as soon as possible. Good luck.

I would be  careful who you trust when it comes to the pool people....how do you know the

peson calling themselves "Villa" is not really the Villain ?

That's because the account belongs to the owner of the pool people and he lives in sax.
