I have been viewing properties in Monforte del Cid.Is it really quiet ?
I don't drive so I wondered if it's far from the beach and some shops and lively bars and restaurants.
My mum was from South Wales,Merthyr I love the Wesh people.I am half Irish/Welsh. Maybe I will be your neighbour one day.

Hi Ursula

We don’t actually live in Monforte Del Cid .. we live in the Urbanizaron about 5 miles called Montecid! There are no facilities on our estate and no bus service! The closest village to us is Robelledo where there are four Bars and the Bus runs from here into Alicante! Alicante is a 10 minute journey by car!

We are ten minutes from Alicante airport and access to our Urbanización is not possible without a car

We have sold up in the UK and are now living here at the house On a Non Lucrative Visa

Hi Ursula

We have an apartment in Montforte del Cid and we love it. We live in Scotland but try to get out to Spain as much as we can. Montforte I would say if you don’t drive it could be quite restrictive for you. There is a bus which takes you to Alicante in 20 mins or so but only every couple of hours. There is no direct bus to and from the airport. I think if you want a lot going on maybe Montforte isn’t for you although for us it’d be lovely to have another Brit here. I wish you well in your search for your Spanish casa.
