We went to Sabadell bank yesterday at 12 noon.

We were left waiting outside in the cold and wind in quite a small queue for over half an hour, they let people into the bank two at a time, Just inside the door and scattered around the bank were buckets to collect the water that was coming through the ceiling. There was water on the floor right by the entrance, a real slip risk. We then were let in and left waiting for another 35 minutes as the one cashier dealt very slowly with the 3 people who were applying for bank cards. The rest of the staff, at least 6 of them sat at their desks trying to look busy instead of opening up another desk. All the while the queue outside grew longer and longer.
They then had the audacity to charge €24  for printing off some bank statements for us. A really frustrating visit that has made us decide to move banks. Does anyone have any recommendations for banks who treat their customers better than this one?

I use Bankinter and for a Spanish bank it works ok.The experience is not the same as we are used to in the UK but it pretty much works and because it’s a smaller bank I have never had problems with waiting to get in.I have been with them for 17 years. If I was starting again I would use my Revolut account or similar for everything I could use it for.

We changed from greedy Sabadell to Cajamar bank 3 years ago and opened a "weferrent account". It was the only bank I could find that offered us a free account for non residents and although is an online account you can go in branch for help and only charged a small fee if you process a transaction in branch. We have been delighted with their service.

Regards
