We have an apartment in Playa Flamenca and are desperate to get out the house in the UK and visit for a while.

I have heard mention that UK residents with a holiday home will get preferential to tourists to enter Spain but can find no information online for this.

Looking to book flights early July, but then here the Spanish government may block UK residents if they don't get the infection rate down, so a bit confused at the minute.

Can any of you residents give me anymore information from local news i cannot find here ?

I also am a second home owner, but I am not expecting any preferential treatments from the Spanish government over tourists.

Hi Ian, as far as I am aware Official Residents of Spain are indeed actually allowed travel into Spain at present ,but there is No news relating to distinguishing between Non Resident Spanish Homeowners and Non Homeowner / Tourists currently outside of Spain being allowed preferential treatment over one or the other in respect of entry into the country when Domestic travel into Spain is recommenced

The only people allowed into Spain at the moment are Spanish citizens and residents.

Non-residents will have to wait until tourists are allowed in sometime in July.

There was an announcement by the government a week ago that visitors from the UK would not be allowed in if their rate of contagion didn't go down far enough.

Still, it's a few weeks away, so watch this space.

Leave booking till very end of july , then hopefully permission will be given with conditions to fly , we need to go to Spain  and spain needs us ,

We have had two holidays cancelled, we are booked for a month in August to come out. I am a school worker in the U.K. and have not been off work at all during the lockdown caring for key worker children. I feel I do need a break in the summer however if that holiday is cancelled so be it. I would rather return to Spain when we are allowed but more importantly when the residents  are happy for us to be tgete

I didn't think any tourists were allowed back until at least 1st July, I think you're going to be disappointed.

As 21st June is the last day of fase 3 and the borders don't open to non residents until 1st July, I should be prepared for your flights to be cancelled.

Still, things change all the time but, not usually that much.

I have booked flights for the end of July, as also by then the 14 day quarantine will also be lifted. I think anything before the 1st July it is going to be a problem !
