So for those who are at high risk of adverse reactions to these vaccines should never be allowed to travel again? . ? We don’t take this stance with any other vaccine.

Surely for such people there'll be a medical exemption

Cfeoo63. As I have pointed out already, the decision on whether UK nationals with underlying conditions preventing them from receiving the vaccine can travel abroad, is not up to the UK government. It would be at the discretion of the receiving country. Many UK citizens are already prevented from traveling abroad if they do not have the correct vaccinations. It may be that other countries will seek to emulate the UK government's quarantine procedures for entry into their countries without first having a vaccine. Who knows.

She’s not trying to make people's lives hell she is trying to keep people safe and save lives. That is the purpose of lockdown! That is why infections and deaths are decreasing . Why would any leader damage the economy and make people’s lives more difficult deliberately? This is a strategy being used by governments worldwide. Even inept Johnson is doing it.

John52. Sorry, which restrictions are you talking about? Restrictions on travel? How are you, or the UK government going to force a foreign country to pay for your vaccine so you can travel there? We are talking about a TRAVEL passport are we not? As for the government's restrictions affecting normal life, surely this is wholly in line with their requirement to protect the citizens of the UK? Or do you believe that personal choice to the detriment of all others is acceptable?

John52. I respect your right to have this opinion. My point is that the need to have a test is determined by the country you wish to visit not the one you are leaving. It may be in future that we receive an annual vaccination and that there will be a need to self isolate on your return rather than a negative test, who knows. There are many countries in the world which you might wish to visit who require certain vaccines before entry is granted. If, for instance, I wish to visit them the cost of the vaccine becomes part of the cost of the holiday. It's my choice. When I was younger and we as a family wanted to go on holiday we would go camping because that was what we could afford. We couldn't afford to go abroad. Maybe that is what will happen in future, if you can't afford the cost then you must think of an alternative. To be brutally honest, rather than pay for tests for returning holiday makers the money would be better spent on the millions of people in Britain who cannot even afford to feed themselves let alone holiday abroad.

John52. With regard to families being unable to feed themselves and going on holiday, may I respectfully ask you to re-read my post on this subject. I said
"To be brutally honest, rather than pay for tests for returning holiday makers the money would be better spent on the millions of people in Britain who cannot even afford to feed themselves let alone holiday abroad."
I think that we have differing views on the words "want and need". I don't want to pay taxes but I need to if I want to stay in the UK and enjoy the benefits of doing so. So it is with those who want to enjoy the benefits of travelling to another country. Your final sentence on decision makers walking in the shoes of those on minimum wage or benefits may well be true however that problem will not be solved by paying for tests for those who can afford foreign travel.

There's growing evidence (from the scientists) that having the vaccine prevents you spreading the virus. They say more data required though.
There's no blackmail going on. When I went to Africa I had to have vaccinations if I wanted to go. I wasn't being blackmailed.
