Our president and committee get "paid" by way of not having to pay their community fees.

Our administrators operate a black list, if you ask them awkward questions they will simply ignore you. I believe there should be a SLA for administrators who should be working for us.  I will be raising this at our AGM in a few weeks. ...

...

SLA ?   Please explain, Thx

Hi Lee,

Although it's frustrating, it's a thankless job... remember the President/Vice President is a voluntary job - no payment., just lots of hassle..    In my Urb if people complain about the President etc too much, admin will tell them  they can volunteer themselves at the next meeting...

..., as people rarely want the job.

Luckily for me our Administartion office is 5/10 mins walk away & I have great success by calling in.

Cheers

Elinspain

Hi Elinspain

our President gets paid, not a massive amount but it is shown on the annual statement of the community finances we get every year prior to the annual meeting. Even so I do agree it can be a thankless task as people usually only contact the President with problems and complaints.

Rgds,

Aitch.

If I understand this correctly, the problem is work being done nearby. If its not within your community, it has nothing to do with your president or administrator. This must surely be something you have to sort out by your self.

Hi All,  Kenneth 1 is correct. Although it is close to your Community, it is not the responibilty of your President or the Adminstrators. There role is to manage your Community.

It quite strange that people think that the President can resolve all your issues on things that are nothing to do with your Community. Its outside of their remit. Go to your Council and complain if you are worried or concernned about this building work. Maybe this building work does not have the correct building licenses. If its on another Community ask their residents what's happening. If its a Commercial building, go to the Council.

I disagree, if building work is affecting the community then the President and the Administrators will have far more experience of dealing with the local authorities than individual home owners. At the very least they could have responded to the queries from a community resident and given the same advice Kenneth has provided.

Is Lee the only person affected, are others effected. I would hope if someone starts building work nearby affecting our community that our President would be keen to help (and I know he would).

It is affecting the majority of us, we are going to send our issues through once again to the administrator and President and if we don't get a reply put them on the agenda for the AGM, Hopefully we might get a reply from the AGM. THANKS ALL.

I agreed with Kenneth1. I am a President of 13 years. You can disagree with me, but what I have said is the case. A President or their Adminstrators have no jurisdiction over another Community, of course the President could go and speak with the President of the other Community (if it is a Community) its not entirely clear what the buiding works are, that are the problem. Is it another Community or a Commercial enterprise? If its noise or an unsafe building site, then the Council is the best place to go and report it. Take photos.

Many people are under the impression that the President / Administrators can solve everything, they can't and in many situations it's not there remit to do so. They are not the Police. Some Presidents are very helpful, others are not. I do all I can for my owners, but in certain situtions we are faced with a brick wall.

Lee, Is this on your Community or on another Community or a commercial build? If it is on your Community you should request help, but if not the owners should get together and a couple of you should go to the Council or ask the administrator to help you file a denuncia at the Police station if you don't speak Spanish.

Service Level Agreement which clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of the supplying organisation in terms of deliverables what levels of service is required along with associated time scales
