There's NOT much point though in having a President and Administration that does nothing throughout the year !!!  Hopefully we will have a new President and maybe eventually a new Administration !!!

Hi

Don't you fancy putting yourself forward to undertake the role of President? That way you wouldn't be 'hoping' for change you would be ensuring change?

Hi Lee,

Although it's frustrating, it's a thankless job... remember the President/Vice President is a voluntary job - no payment., just lots of hassle..    In my Urb if people complain about the President etc too much, admin will tell them  they can volunteer themselves at the next meeting...

..., as people rarely want the job.

Luckily for me our Administartion office is 5/10 mins walk away & I have great success by calling in.

Cheers

Elinspain

Dont agree here on no payment to the President, he/she gets approx €2400 a year for their services in some communities

Not in my community we don't where I have been VP for 8 years.  Same applied to my previous community, I have never received any type of payment.  As someone else pointed out, President and Vice President are voluntary roles, we do our best but we don't have magic wands.

Many do get paid or their fees waived and frankly, they should as many do more work than the Adminstrators.

Interesting reading this topic. What if the president and adminstrator ignore any communication with residents who ask questions which according to the HPL say they should as part of their office.   What I want to know is who do you go to if you get no respose.  Has anyone else had a similar experience?  I would point out there is no way we can change the people in this office as there is a core group who vote and agree to everything they put on an AGM.  Many others are dissatisfied but give up as they are ignored and think it is pointless

When are people going to stop replying to all these old posts. I've seen people answering posts recently that are up to six years old. Please start a new post if your havde something to ask.

March 2023....7 months is not that old and the remarks are pertinent to the original query.

It would be up to you and the other disappointed owners to make you views known at the AGM. I understand that many holiday homeowners can't attend the AGM but it only needs one of you to attend with proxy votes from the others.

Thank you. I like you thought it was pertinent and didn't know we were not supposed to make comments if original query was not recent.  People making comments like the one you answered puts others off joining in this forum   which l am sure is not the object of the forum.

I don't think anyone should ignor peoples requests for infomation even if its an old post, the topic is still relevant for many.

George M: Owners should try to go the the AGM's its once a year, its the owners chance to partisipate and put their point/s to the meeting. If many of you have concerns, get together and arrange for at least a couple of you to attend ask the others with the same views for their proxy votes. Its no good complaining if owners won't make the effort to attend, you own a property on a Spanish Community and have invested a lot of money and pay your Community fees.

It's rare to get everyone to agree and sadly there are often a hardcore of owners who try to control the meeting. I don't hold with the comments many holiday home owners can't attend, in my view they choose not to. On my Community many holiday home owners do make the choice to attend.

The President and whoever is your Administrator should reply to you questions and you should bring this up under AOB at the meeting if your emails and phone calls are ignored.

You should have their contact details and many have a deadicated office contact who will be the person you should being able to phone or email who deals with your Community. All I can add is if you and others have concerns about the running of you Community email, you should all email the Adminstrators and voice your concerns and issues, keep copies, request a read receipt and if you don't receive any response, take email copies to the meeting. If only only person attends or emails you will get nowhere, I'm sorry to say. you will need some back up, I would suggest 4 of you at least.
