...to show a minimum of around €33,800 in our Spanish bank account for the first 12 months then reapply for a 2 year visa,but does this mean we would then need to show a current balance of double that amount,I.e €67,000 ?

My wife and i are thinking of retiring in spain aswell but we live in northern ireland which is part of the uk but hold irish passports(eu) do we have to have the same requirements as yourselfs from the mainland.
