Hi

Many thanks for the information

Is the Standing charge more expensive than being on standard Tariff

I use my Apartment as a Holiday home for myself and family so would be good to make savings if possible

What would I need to take into the offices with me as I am back in Spain on Friday, is the offices in La Zenia?

Thanks

Sharon

I don't know what the standing charge is for the standard rate tariff, but I'm uploading a photo of what they charge for their 'Plan Noche', which is what I'm on. Have a look and compare it with the charge on your latest bill.

Take your existing bill and proof of identity (passport probably best) into an Iberdrola office. According to their website, they have two offices in Torrevieja at Calle Ramun Gallud 12 (open 8.30 to 1800) and at Calle Concordia 5 (open 8.30 to 16.30 Mon - Thurs, 13.00 Friday)....

...

Geoff.

Do they have English speaking people in the office at the Iberdrola offices in Torrevieja do you know please? Also can you set up an account (in English) pay your bills on the website in English - learning Spanish but not there yet:-)

Also someone told me if you miss a bill, but then pay the next one, they don't just add the unpaid amount to your next bill, they just keep it as an unpaid month and keep sending you reminders for that month alone, and then eventually cut you off for not paying that month! Surly this is not true? surly they just add it to the balance.

I only have a holiday place, so I put money in my Spanish account to cover all my direct debits (electricity being one of them) However I have mistimed adding money into my account for a couple of weeks and might have missed a direct debit inadvertanly - I assumed as soon as I put money in the account (which is nearly always in credit) I assumed it would be added to the next direct debit and taken out.

I have lots of bills and reminders in my post box when I come over (which is full to the brim in the winter) but I can't read any of them as they are in Spanish, so I am worried if the thing about them cutting you off for past months is true, I am not seeing it, even though I am paying my direct debits in the bank and think I am okay, one month I may find I have no electricity!
