Hi,

Hopefully all being well with paperwork should be across to PF in our new holiday home, but of course need to furnish and fluff, does the Primark in La Zenia have a Home Depot? and Zara Home there is there more of them around? I don’t want to end up a IKEA house! Also beds sofa etc?

Once you come to visit, you will soon spot that there just as many furniture shops in the area as there are estate agents. You could easily spend a whole week  looking around furniture stores, without even venturing anywhere near IKEA. Seriously - there has to be at least 30 stores within a 20 minute drive.

Just be aware that Spanish bed sizes are different to UK bed sizes, so always check you are buy the correct size for your bed.

Check out  numerous places in Zenia Boulevard for soft furnishings, chino’s, markets, lots of small local shops too.
Apart from Amazon.es  and the big national companies, online shopping is a bit behind the times in the area, even if stores do have an online presence only 10% of their range will be shown.

January sales have of course just started (Jan 7) and the sale period normally runs through until sometime in March.

Thanks! If you have any info on markets then that would be great, finding our way around to the main shops but knowing all the markets etc we need to find out about more I think,

One of the best places for bedding is Yorkshire Linen, in the commercial centre next to Pets World in La Zenia.  There are several furniture shops in the area, best place for beds is probably the bed and sofa shop in La Zenia just down from Paddy's Point, which also sells bedding.

Hi Karen

There is a sizeable street market every Saturday morning, until 2-ish, in Playa Flamenca. It runs from the Celtic Isle bar to the school at the other end of Calle Nicolas de Bussi.

For general furniture, Conforama is very close https://www.conforama.es/

Cheers

Steve
