I seriously suggest that you contact a legal source over in Spain.

I am returning on the 17th to prepare my property for listing as for sale. My lawyer has prepared a letter saying this and I have the estate agency saying the same. This is all good enough to travel to Spain.

I'm afraid there are too many individuals on here quoting the text from the UK gov website which is set to restrict UK nationals from travel. Spanish authorities have a degree of flexibility and provided you can show you are not just a holiday visitor, they will grant you access.

As long as you have your PCR paperwork, your QR code done and proof of entry, all will be fine.

Please will you let me know how you get on as I need to do the same with my house but didn’t know if I could travel. 🙂

Hi Andy,

Shame you have gone off debating. From your previous posts I thought you were keen and might eventually provide the list of BREXIT bonuses you alluded to.

Would also be useful to hear how your Spanish healthcare comments relate to the issues raised by sheilaheggarty in her post that you responded to.

Regards

Exactly! Who mentioned health care and I know who is blinkered on here.

My photo listing misconceptions  about the EU, which is just 12 points of text won’t load . It says the image is too big! Not sure how. But too long for me to be bothered to type out. It would obviously be to a closed mind.

I see it’s fabulous down  there today with 28 degrees. It’s a measly 10 degrees here  in France after being 23 of late. But I see this cold plunge  is even getting as far south as Spain in a couple of days . Have a great day. 🍷🍀🍷

Maybe it is beginning to hit home that Brexit changes the rights of U.K. citizens to live in Spain. Certainly, the pandemic has made matters much worse but I’m amazed at the number of “non-resident” 😉 ex-pats who voted to Leave and are now moaning that their tax-free lifestyle has come t...

Why do you have to put this comment up? It is of no help to anyone other than you wanting to try and belittle anyone who voted for Brexit.

Hello

This post by Ned53 is no different to many others and is a perfectly legitimate post as far as I'm concerned. You always seem very ready to post your thoughts,  so why not  other people? How you perceive it, is up to you.

Funny, don't remember asking for your opinion 🤔🤫 I was just highlighting that there is no need to bring up Brexit. This is to do with the Covid pandemic. The 90/180 rule some people are up in arms about has always been the rule in Spain 🤷‍♀️ Lets just keep it for helpful comments.

Given that my wife & I have pretty much had to abandon our plans to semi-retire at 55 over to our Spanish place thanks to selfish idiots like the ones this thread who are currently reaping all the benefits of FoM whilst having voted Leave, I'd say that a few choice words when asking for actual tangible benefits of Brexit is letting the morons off lightly, actually.

But that's just me...

Was it not always the rule in Spain that if you stay over 90 days you had to apply for residency?

And this is why I said that the comment didn't need to be posted. It just causes arguments. Brexit is done and other than the 90/180 day rule which has always been the law in Spain anyway i don't know what the problem is. It just means that people will be there legally now instead of illegally 🤷‍♀️
