Hi, unfortunately they are not selling any new policies at present. A lot of insurers are changing their insurance companies and underwriters, but thanks for recommendation.

Over 70 and on average income/pension, then one is punished. Not only is the cost of travel insurance costly. There is also the cost of Covid tests to consider.

Yes Val

my next visit is 4x more costly than last year. I, m hoping Uk won't require test when we go back in November as that will be another cost too.

Hi pauline

i was in a very similar position. the best i was quoted was £1820 for multi trip, i.e 2 by 90 days. the worst quote was over £7000

chum pointed me to LV, They quoted me £240 for 2 x 90 days. WQe spent a lot of time with the young lady to make sure we were getting what we thought we were. But it was all good. So now i am covered
I hope this helpsRichard

Hi Richard

This is unbelievable, just today after seeing an ad for LV on TV, thought, I wonder if they do travel insurance. OMG yes and got a quote for £482 for Annual upto 90 days upto 80yrs and with heart failure and other serious medical conditions. I was so stunned I too rang them to confirm and they did, so I,ve been on cloud 9 since. I know its a big jump from £165 last year but after the ludicrous prices from everyone else, it's an end of hunting now 6days of doing nothing else. Thankyou for replying.

Kind Regards

Pauline

Hiya, I don’t know if you’ve got your insurance sorted out but have you tried looking for 2 separate quotes individually rather than a couple?

There was a huge difference on individual policies when mum & I used to get travel insurance for holidays in the past (we both have pre existing conditions) mum always used staysure and I used Get Going travel insurance (who insured me 6 weeks after my hysterectomy to remove cervical cancer) for an r&r holiday to Crete!

Worth a look if you’re not already sorted.

Good luck xx
