I just took a policy from Avanti today got a good price really easy online form but you can do it by phone, had to look around as we now have medical issues to factor in and our bank's " free" insurance quoted a silly figure for this

I think it jumps a lot at 70 so you, ve a few years yet. I declare 3 conditions and hubby 2 but his are mild, so it's all on me. Hubby says we, ll not go at these prices. Going to phone Ehic plus. They cover for public treatment not private but at least they weren't too high. Need the 90 day cove...

...r though. Stay well, health is more important when it costs so much to cover.

Hi, We are a pair of 70-year olds and paid Nationwide Building Society's UK Insurance Ā£70'ish for Age Increase... I've used Saga in the past.... Have you tried a Spanish Health Care Insurance Company ? Sorry - just a thought.

On another note: we've had a break-in and a pipe-burst - so it is worth keeping a few spare Schengen Days just for an emergency: they won't let you in to Spain if you are on your limit of 90 days. Let's hope they become more lenient with Spanish Property Owners (just like the Americans who can stay for a year).

Hi to anyone interested, just as I was going to go with LG, courtesy of Richards reply I received a reply from previous insurer with an extra premium to their original price to increase the max time of stay to 90 days and altogether came to just Ā£249 for an annual policy. Fantastic, so took our policy with them. Europeplus is the company, used to be Ehic plus. A massive saving on some of the prices I,d received and I apologise for not updating as promised earlier. I, ve never claimed with them but I have used them in the past.

Regards

Pauline
