Stephanie86 I'm done explaining.

Been explaining since June 2016.

Theres nothing more to say.

But that’s still not an explanation. It’s a set of vague unexplained statements.

Sounds like proportional representation ,far too sensible for our politicians as they already threw out this voting system years ago.

Since you asked.

I did actually vote for Brexit mainly on the grounds of Sovereignity and allowing elected UK MPs decide British law. However, having seen the way that many of our Elected MPs have behaved over Brexit, I have now come to the conclusion having European MEPs decide our law would be no worse.

As a democracy I think the only fair way to move ahead now would be to have a second referendum. In my opinion there should be three choices, (1) Leave with No Deal, (2) Leave with whatever the Final deal available is or (3) Stay.

If Stay gets over 50%, then we stay. However, clearly those people who prefer to leave will have their vote split  between options 1 and 2. To make it fair to those who prefer to leave, if you vote for number 1 option, then you need to have a second preference of your vote moving to either option 2 or 3, if option 1 doesn't get over 50%. If you vote for option 2, then you also need to have a second preference of either 1 or 3, if option 2 doesn't get over 50%.  This would then take into account those people who prefer to Leave only with a no deal, but stay otherwise. Also it takes into account those that prefer to leave with a deal, but stay otherwise. Seems complicated, and maybe need some explaining, but the ballot would look something like this

1. Leave with the agreed deal, second choice leave with No deal

2. Leave with the agreed deal, second choice, do not leave without a deal, stay

3. Leave without a deal, second choice, leave with the agreed deal

4. Leave without a deal, second choice, leave with the agreed deal, stay

5 Stay

I know Brexiteers will say we have already voted for leave and that should be honoured. At the time of the original vote though, many people voted on incorrect assumptions of what the final deal would be. Knowing what the final deal will be shortly (if there is one) will mean people can vote knowing the full facts.

The country needs to pull together and a second vote in my opinion will be the best way forward to unite Remainers and Brexiteers. A second binding vote would hopefully put this to bed for the majority of people.

So what guarantees do we have that, if leave either with a deal or without a deal, that the politicians would not still be squabbling, thinking they know better, we knew what we were voting for, I never even thought about a deal, I just wanted to be self governing and trade freely, with who we want, and more importantly stop the money pit that is Brussels, with all its waste and corruption.

Just wondering how long before the Brexiters who claim they knew all along that they had voted for no deal start to claim that this deal is what they really wanted!

I don’t suppose there is any waste or corruption in our own government, how many of them have made money out of it all, I wonder?
