Villas, thanks for your concerns,

Maybe I should take note of the section of the Report that states panic buying and stockpiling is a possibility.

I'll leave my breakfast this morning ( Gregg's sausage rolls) , dash off to my Local Iceland store and grab all the Pasties they have out.

Hmm, only one problem there though, due to the traditional culture of 'Med Diet, The Spanish freezers are a bit on the small side.

Drat !

😄

Definately a case then of ' Waist not, Want not '

In case of shortages and increased prices I will be Prudent and ' tighten my belt ' over other houshold  expenditures

My sisters partner said " we will have to buy British". When asked what we produced he sai " vegetables". So the uk will be vegetarians driving Morgans ( I think they're still British) !

We might produce vegetables but we need Poles to get them out of the ground for us and we don't produce many in winter.

Just out of interest (or not) & being as it´s raining......Did you know?

Yellowhammer is the codename used by the UK Treasury for cross-government civil contingency, but, also:

Definitions of yellowhammer:  is a common Eu bunting, the male of which has a yellow head, & neck,

Bunting also referred to as: is solely decoration made of cloth, plastic,or card-board cut-out, or in imitation of fabrication.

Is this coincidental?

Hi

I do understand your worry but there are many people who own homes in Spain from non EU countries. Norwegians have also bought homes in Spain and they refused to join the EU. We have a holiday home and personally I am not worried because the way I see it, is if UK vote to leave and Spain made it ...

...difficult for Expats from the UK,they would have to do the same to Expats and holiday home owners and renters from other countries not in the EU and then the  Spanish economy would suffer badly, in fact places like Benidorm could almost cease to function! Expats and holiday-makers bring in much needed funds to Spain and a large majority are British so for Spain to make it difficult for us would seem like economic suicide in my opinion.

Jan

Hi Jan and all,

Unfortunately for both countries, it’s the EU that have set the rules, not Spain. And while non-EU expats knew what to expect beforehand, it appears that most Brits believe to become entitled to privileges not given to other non-EU citizens. Why is that?

The call of the yellowhammer is a little bit of bread and no cheese.

Not being an ornithologist or a  person who studies or is an expert on birds etc. Is that not a "tit?"

It's already difficult for non EU nationals to access healthcare without paying for it or into the system.check the rules which many UK expats don't you will see the UK Pays spain for UK pension healthcare if this stops then they will have to pay into the system just like other no n Eu nationals
