I think the issue here is not a link to Jim's but the fact at least one of his admins is banned here and various parting shots against Alex were made by Jim.. As much as Jim was great for this site it is becoming very clear his site had been pre-planned for a while. In my book that is a betrayal of trust and reflects on his character.

I get that he had to be loyal to those closest to him after the death of his wife but at the expense of helping those who really need help when first in Spain? That's ego and is an undesirable trait. We all have ego but we also have free will.

Very disappointed to be honest.

Hi d80gs2, I am too a member of this forum like yourself, Jim, Angebadge & Stonerose (his/her, who is a new, this year´s, arrival here.) I have as above passed his/her information.

I find Angebadge´s comments about me as ["feigned innocence"],  ["a chat with your mates"]  ["Tedious and juvenile"] slightly, a personal attack, unwelcoming but certainly unhelpful to others inquiring.

I will not speak for Alex, if he feels the need to comment, he will .

Some very unpleasant remarks about Alex and his management of his forum, from prominent members of “the other place” Someone even managed to mention his mum, attempting to use her as a stick to beat him with. Disgraceful. My opinion only of course. Did you miss that?

From my own perspective, I think the mistake I made was in thinking that because someone was extremely knowledgable, it followed that they must therefore be a nice person. How wrong can you be?

You say you will dip in and out of both forums. That is of course your choice, as it should be. I shall decline that dubious pleasure. 🤪🥂

 I have never entered into any posts purely for criticism on another other member. Or you either,..... (as I recall to date). 

I am at a loss as to why this has turned against me regarding only two points I have made today. One regarding Jim´s woodworking & the other regarding his guides. He & I are both forum members.

I am sorry if you also agree with the other poster, ie: [hit the nail on the head], you also find me with "feigned innocence, Tedious and juvenile". Lets stay stick with helpful & welcoming John. With respect

Some are only sent to throw the snowballs that others make, in the scheme of things it matters very little.

First time I’ve looked in in here in ages, and see decisions made here that were definitely needed....however It looks like it’s still not the time to become involved in the forums again while those who should know better pursue childish antics.

Alex, fully support your efforts to move things forward, I do not envy your task.

Really? Disappointing but accurate eh? Please, you don’t need to add “with respect”, it holds about as much authenticity as your feigned innocence. Your continued “poking with a sharp stick“, fuelling the fire that others have been at pains to quell, appears to indicate you’ve nailed your colours to the mast.

Sometimes, that fence becomes very uncomfortable. You then have to step up and be counted. 🤪🥂

Angebadge. & again with respect. I do feel  uncomfortable with your comments & insinuations. Please refrain. I wish only to partake in this or other sites without personal abuse to others or to me. This is not a witch-hunt forum.
