When leaving UK I would prefer a cheaper and quick result with the Antigen or LAMP test for Spain but only major city airports like London and Midlands offer this. I live in Devon and get PCR from Exeter airport near me (although I fly from Bristol).

If I get the test before midday, then the result is the next day and I fly the day after.

We used Eurofins in Valencia airport to get an Antigen test within 72 hours of returning to the UK. The cost was 40€. (The Eurofins app is called TrustOne). The lab is located in departures area of the airport in far left corner. We received results via email an hour later. We booked the test and paid for it online while still in the UK. We did not experience any problems getting the test or with acceptance of the test results as proof prior to flying.

UK govt just announced costs of the govt post arrival test (UK) are being reduced. See link to Mail Online article below. Hoping private companies will follow suit.

Travelling from Spain to UK we used Trust1 based in departures of Alicante airport. €29.  Very quick and efficient if you book a time slot. Results in under 2 hours. Used Randox in uk for day 2 pcr test. £43 with easyjet discount code. Results very quick. Only negative is depending on where you stay or live it can be a long way to their drop boxes.

Before travelling to Calpe last December we used Hampshire Travel Clinic in Emsworth for PCR tests at 395GBP for two.

We received results by email in 24hrs.

To return in March we used HCB in Calpe for antigen tests at EUR80 for two, with results in 15mins. The tests had to be pre-booked.., also the staff were unaware that an antigen test was OK for entry to UK. 

Hi I went to our apartment with my friend in Almoradi, Costa Blanca for a couple of nights. All we needed to enter Spain was proof of our vaccines and a QR code when we completed the Spanish health form. 

For coming back to Edinburgh we needed an antigen test which we booked in a clinic in Almoradi for the Monday morning and booked a pcr test for day 2. We flew on Monday night with Ryanair, we needed to show our vaccination certificate and our negative antigen test. I booked our pcr tests with Randox Health for £43 each. The antigen test cost us 40 euros each. Edinburgh only checked our passports when we arrived. Hope this helps. 

I booked my antigen test online at the IMED clinic in Torreveija for a test on 27th July ready for returning to the UK on the 29th July. It cost €40. When I arrived it was really busy with lots of walk in customers. We were directed inside to a queue for customers who had pre booked and the test was done quickly but the results took well over an hour so I can only think it will get worse as more and more people are arriving in Spain at the moment. I am going again in September and have decided to take a test with me as you are allowed to do your own in Spain as long as you get the right fit to fly test. There is a list on the UK government website of accepted suppliers. I chose tot buy my test from LivingCare which cost £25. You do have to be organised and obviously get it before you go! My friend used them last week and she said it worked well and there were no hitches at the airport and they accepted the certificate that LivingCare had provided.
