Need to get PCR test soon, can anyone help and what price? Thanks.

Just checked on the UK GOV website and a Lateral flow test is acceptable

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-for-people-travelling-to-england#test-providers-and-type-of-test

Is there a Chemist on the Urb where I can get a test?

Regards

Steve

A Antigen test is fully acceptable to fly back to UK .

€30 from medical centre Cabo Roig results in 15 mins

I have done this Twice now and you will have no problems at all.

Have a safe trip

You need the PCR test. I had mine at Quiron last week cost 95 Euros. You can make an appointment but also just turn up without one. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the whole process, need your passport. Plus you need to go back the next day to get the results as you need the Paperwork to get o...

...n the plane. Also you need to book a 2 and 8 day Covid test before you go for when you arrive back in the UK or they won't let you on the plane without the paperwork for that as well.

Please, are any of the testing places open on Sunday?

The only ne I think may be would be the Quiron Hospital just off the N332 before you get to Torrevieja (Formerly San Jaime Hospital) but I would telephone them first.) They speak english there. You´ll find the phone number on their website. Contrary to what Ian wrote about needing a PCR test, the Farmacia at El Raso told e you only need an Antigen Test at 40 euro plus t2 you must book in the UK before you fly. Everyone is flying with an Antigen test with no problems. It is accepted by the UK

Sorry IanW

I have to disagree with you, there have been endless posts on this topic of Covid testing requirements for travel on this site, as many still thinks they have to pay for the PCR test, if anyone is still unsure it is very clear on the Gov.U.K. Site, I have directed several friends and neighbors to...

... Julian Rodrigues at El Raso pharmacy who does need your passport and will present you with you result in hard copy form as a certificate within 2 hrs.

And of course you still have to order and pay for your quarantine PCR travel package for day 2 and 8, on the gov.gov U.K. website now the cheapest is now down to £175

I agree with what you say Leah, the Antigen test at 40 euro,s does fit the needs if done by a reputable company. We fly home on 12/07/21 and are having the Antigen test done at an Imed center. We are doing this mainly for our kids who are due out in August and can ill afford the 400 plus euro cost for them all, the 160 euro cost will be bad enough along with what the government in the UK will impose when the 19th comes along.

I have just been back to the UK for my 2nd vaccine. All I needed was a lateral flow test €40 and pay for the 2 and 8 day tests. I flew out of Alicante no problem at all.

I was in the UK for two days, had my 2nd vaccine and flew back to Alicante. I didnt do either of the 2 or 8 day tests while in the UK and now back in Spain (annoying that i still had to pay for them but however) but no problems coming back to Spain.

We got our antigen test (that's all you need to fly to UK) at quirron at Al Alicant €45 results an hour later. This was last Friday.

They are very efficient and professional and on top of that speak excellent English much better than I speak Spanish. Can also recommend the cafe near the wellbeing salon for tea and toast whilst waiting for results.
