I am also a newcomer. Please can you tell me where I buy a filter, what it's called and who I get to put it in? Thanks

Hi Newcomer,

At Leroy Merlin you can buy the set up for your faucet water filter system.

Merlin also installs but someone else must know an installer.

regards

Hi Niki, I emailed Iberdrola myself last night to try to change my plan. Apparently they can't put us on the night plan but have given us another option. Discount of a higher electricity rate and half price in the appliance insurance plus cheaper electric at night. Our standing charge will now be 24 euros instead of nearly 40  that we've been paying. We've to sign and email back a contract. It will be cheaper for us even with a higher day time charge! Bit if a mine field really.

Hi Niki I'm in the UK, not going out again until March. Do sign up to Iberdrola online and you can see your monthly bills and the different plans available.Regards Roberta

We are in La Mata and we use DVBLab for internet. It cost about 140 euros to have a small dish installed on our balcony with a router in the room. We pay 19 euros a month when we want it switched on. It doesn't have to be a calendar month, if you're going out on 9th, you get a month from that date. You can't pay for only 2 weeks. We use a firestick to get Amazon and our Netflix and do not have regular TV as it's only in the winter months that we might want to watch a movie in the evening when we're there. Regards Roberta

Hi Iberdrola are very expensive and like you to believe they are the only option. They are not and you shouldn’t be paying fees. We have switched to Energy Nordic and save a third on our bills. Take a look by googling them. They speak every language and do the switch for you. Their day and night tariff is loads cheaper than Iberdrola. They are extremely helpful and answer any questions you have quickly and clearly.

Highly recommended.

Hi Jan we took your advice, contacted Energy Nordic and are in the process of changing over to them. Straight off we are going to cut our bills by approx 20 euros per month and the unit charge is cheaper too. Thanks for the recommendation.
