Hi Maria.

Sorry, I didn't convey the message I meant to.

M & I need to decide when may be the quietest time, so we're not mixing with too many people.

Last time I looked at Mercadona online, they didn't deliver to our post code. I decided to check that again, and they're saying that due to high demand they've temporarily suspended all home deliveries.

I've just looked at Consum and they don't deliver to our post code.

When I'm alone in Spain I usually go to Lidl or Dial Prix around 8.45pm. I usually have the shop to myself and can be in and out in 10 minutes. The shelves are normally being restocked for the next morning. But you never know on these times.

That's an excellent, and thoughtful, suggestion Alex.

Margaret (81 and cancer) and myself (74 and ischaemia) are well in the risk group. With a nearly empty freezer we'll have to go shopping. Normally we'd go early when it's quiet, but I'd guess that this next couple of weeks everyone will be going early whilst there's a chance of finding shelves wi...

...th stock on them.

Midweek may be best time to go to restock, as the rush seems to be abating, shops not opening on Sunday did no one any favours.

Dialprix today was very quiet hardly a soul in.

Stay safe

I'm sure supply chains are getting back to normal. We may not see so many brand choices and perhaps we'll see some absence on some imported products but gradually plenty supplies of most products will come back to good levels.

I went to Al Campo in La Zenia today. Very quiet and plenty of stock of all I could see. My only disappointment was that other than food and wine was roped off. Given that I'm confined to the house I hoped I might get some painting done. I have paint but hoped to get a roller and tray. The staff wouldn't allow it. I understand that they want to restrict numbers but they also need to think about the morale of people stuck at home.

I hear your frustration about morale. This isolation is going to be easier for some than others. However the roping off may be because the Decree allows people to shop for food and drink, farmacia, petrol, estanc etc so perhaps they're simply not allowed to sell anything else under the Terms.

I was aware it was a ''State of Alarm'', not a ''State of Emergency''. There is a big difference please clarify in this topic

Fair point. But if your house was on fire and you dialled 112 I'm not sure you'd be too thrilled if the operator asked you " sir, is that a state of alarm for you or a state of emergency? "

Stay calm, open a beer, relaxio 😁

I believe (again, not being pedantic) eg when visiting a cleaning product eg a ferreira & also buy (let´s say paint). no prob. or at Repsol for fuel & you buy some flowers. I await if someone gets a fine. What do you think? (these were just examples & where to buy many items.Hope this common sense helps. PS: regarding an earlier question re:

Chinese Shops in all areas.

ie: are any chinese shops, been seen open?someone may answer.

I'd be thrilled if they simply answered the phone :-)

be it Alarm or emergency... the message is similar.... no movement, no outlets open unless essential...no sports....no gathering. Here in the UK  we may have not moved 'that'far at the moment, but the chaos of fear is very high with all sport fixtures. concerts, mass gathering events all can...

...celled. People have been told to self  incubate for 7-14 days even if they get  a runny nose - The result, ?  All the 'i am fit at the moment  people' are now stock piling food in the " just in case" fear. . Result ? they, not the virus, are causing massive shortages of food supplies and blaming it all on the virus !! - why do people panic and be so irresponsible to others ? If this hasn't happened yet in Spain I guess it will. My problem ? I was due to come out in 8 days time to our villa  but now my flight is cancelled so I am stuck in the UK... with all this b***** rain ! Anyway I wish all the Costa Blanca readers a healthy evasion of this bug , and we will get through it and back be to normal soon.

It’s raining in Spain for the next 7 days, so you not missing much. Stay safe
