I pay 70E + 21% IVA per annum to my sol. He does my non resi tax and also manages my SUMA. My tax return this year was 65E

Good afternoon All,

I have just received my non resident tax return and the amount due is 19 euros each (two names on the deeds) which seems very fair, but the solicitors want 450 euros + IVA (21%) to undertake the return for me.

Can anyone advise on a cheaper way of filing my return or know a solicitors who are a lot cheaper

Best regards

Andyb1208

In that case I'm afraid I can't help.

The amount the solicitor is asking is ludicrous, unless the fee includes other services he's performed. And as an aside, the tax due seems on the low side.

The cheapest way I've come across of doing a 210 is http://spanishtaxforms.co.uk/.

They charge £29.95 for preparing the return, plus extra if you want them to submit it.

Hi Jim,

I took your advice and used Spanishtaxforms this morning. Total cost £100.

Thank you for your advice

Best regards

Hi

I have filled the form 210 in myself for the last couple of years, from the online from

then it calculates it for you, my solicitor were charging 120 euros for single named person on a 56 euro bill

so enough was enough, it was difficult at first, but on the spanish citizens advice site is good

and goes step by step

then print form off and pay in at the bank

or do as someone else suggests couple of companies that charge to do it less than 50 euros

regards

The solicitor charged. Me 50e and the bill was 71e so it wasn't too bad

Jim and Yorkshire Lass are correct!

Spanish Tax Forms Ltd are excellent, they complete and send you all the copies required and you just pay at the bank. They will pay direct on your behalf if you require also.

I took my forms to my bank in Spain and paid, it is very easy and the cost to prepare the forms only £29.95 with this Company. Your non resident tax is based on the Cadastral value of the property.

I have found that the lawyers generally charge excessive fees..

My advice..... Contact Spanish Tax Forms, and they will advise you what information they need to complete your Tax Return

My solicitors sent a email through on 16th January advising on their costs and my cost for non resident tax.

Their costs are 198.50 and 62.93 in taxes which when I roughly worked this out myself I made it lower but not really sure.

Is it too late will I have to use the solicitors this year or can I use a different company for working this out for me?

Thanks

Sharon
