Thanks Nicola. I actually went to the bank at La Zenia today for something else. Just for anyone who is reading this, please be aware that unless your request is anything other than a normal ATM operation, i.e. something that you would do at a cash desk, you should make an appointment. I arrived there at 8:30 and there were only 2 in the queue outside. Once it was my turn I pressed the bells the door was opened by a member of staff who asked me what I wanted. I needed to return a D/D taken from me in error, and also change my contact phone number. This would require an appointment, but he let me in anyway 😄. I was surprised that there was no sanitizer. The desk had a screen, but I had to pass my card around the screen to hand it to them, so best to carry your own gel. The lady was very pleasant, as always, and my problems were sorted. (Ps I had managed to return the D/D payment myself online, and they already had my other mobile number even though it wasn’t showing in me online profile). She said that my card should arrive by post in Aug or Sept. thank you to all who replied to my OP.

Just out of interest, what number do you ring for an appointment or do you do it online?

I have just noticed that my debit card expires at the end of September. (I am a resident). Wondering if the bank sends a notification to pick up a new card. I would not like to rely on the post. Anyone out there had a new card recently?

Our debit and credit both expired within a month of each other, neither arrived it took 4+ visits to Bank to get the debit card and 2 visits to get credit card. The first renewal of the cards was equally shambolic as they were sent to our old UK address.

It's been an absolute shambles, it should be a case study for how not to run a bank.

We live in Montegolf the Bank is in Los Dolses.

Can I ask if you are resident, and which bank/branch you use? Thanks.

We are residents and the Bank is Bankinter at Los Dolses. I would love to know where all this post is disappearing to.

"Cheaper" banking can come with a health warning....

Oxymoron no such thing as cheap Banking. If there was a half decent postal service in this country more of our post might get delivered.

We are non-resident and our new Debit Card has been in our branch in Cabo Roig since March.  As we are hoping to get back out in August I emailed Sabadell (their general enquiries email address) to ask if they were operating an appointment based system.  As I've not heard back yet I was pleased to read these posts - thank you, very helpful to know that I can't just pop in.  Once we know if we are definitely coming out (we are coming from Scotland so slightly different restrictions to other parts of the UK) I will contact them to arrange an appointment.  Thanks again

Yes, it’s good to talk. That’s where this forum is invaluable at times. It has helped me no end.
