I too am in Sabadel , they are charging me €18 to receive money I transfer …I am going to look at changing to Santander as I have the same bank in my town in the UK

If you have an EU iban number Sabadell will not charge you €18 when you have transfer money.
Wise offer good rates of exchange and they have a Belgium IBAN and Sabadell and no charge is made.

I would not put up with that treatment go to Deutche Bank in Alicante Just down from the train station. See Jorge, we are very happy with them. We had the opportunity to be with Sabadell but decided against them several years ago and we live in the UK .

Close your Spanish bank account and put your money in a Building Society, Nationwide or the Halifax,it’s so easy to transfer money from the U.K. and if anything goes wrong in the U.K. you have the FSA to fight your corner.

I dont think most Spanish utilities accept uk bank accounts, the originating account needs an EU IBAN number.
