We do not live in La Marina Urbanisation but have frequently visited it . I have not travelled around it but visited a few restaurants. What I have seen of it its definitely not a slum. It seems a nice place to live. I would say that most Brits here wish to retain the way of life enjoyed in UK and dont want to change .There are certainly some Brits that would love to embrace the Spanish culture language, food, politics etc.But if you are living in an area where it is dominated by expats you are going to find it difficult to integrate with th local community.

I’m sure people have been to Denia and thought that there are much nicer places to go too.  It is all very subjective.  What suits one person won’t suit another.  That’s what makes the world so interesting.  It would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

Very true but La Marina is only 20 minutes from the airport.

It’s horses for courses what Suits one doesn’t suit everyone, there will always be better places, personally we love it here it’s about what you want, we looked at many areas and for our budget and my hidden disability it’s wonderful, everything we need and more

Wow RayD! Rude and patronising. I suggest you stay in your caravan in Benidorm and let the rest of us enjoy our lovely houses in La Marina.
