And so here we go....we visited a week ago and on Friday signed a purchase contract for a beautiful property in La Escuera.  We will be moving in December as full time residents (and Spanish tax payers).

Looking forward to meeting all you folks.

Oh congratulations. I hope you will be very happy in your new place. I think there’s good and bad wherever you go and I’m sure it’ll be amazing.

Enjoy!

Ann

Thank you, I am sure we are going to be using the forum as a source of advice as we settle in and probably asking similar questions to all the newbies!  I have to say that Jim's guides have been a tremendous source of information so far - Thank you

We like la marina  urb and visit quizes etc although we dont live there. I would agree with the comment of 90% british. The same with bars maybe 80%. It is a long way from the main tourist areas though of punta prima torrevieja la zenia playa flamenca.

I would just like to say La Marina Urbanisation is NOT a council estate, me and and the majority of La Marina own our homes. We have been here 2 years and love the fact there are lots of places to go bars restaurants shops etc. Beautiful beaches and lots more. Also there are a good mix of nationalities, I also find most people are friendly and really helpful. And when we want some traditional Spanish culture, we don’t have far to travel. La Marina has it all.

Very well said Bob. Couldn't agree more. Sad to hear you say that Ray the Legend. Bob82 far more accurate.

Ooh Camposol. A legend in it’s own lifetime, illegal houses built over the rambla, subsidence  issues on Sectors C and D and houses sold but never transferred in the land registry. I remember it well. Glad that we did not buy there.
